Q.1. Which is the entry level class and up to what classes does the school offer education?
• The entry level class in the school is Nursery. The school offers education till Class 12 with all the streams – Science, Commerce and Humanities.

Q.2. What is the eligible age for admission to the school?
The minimum and maximum age limit for admission in the school is:

Class Minimum age on 31st March of the year in which admission is sought Maximum age on 31st March of the year in which admission is sought
Nursery 03 years 04 years
KG 04 years 05 years
I 05 years 06 years

For Class II onwards - It is subject to the Transfer Certificate from the last class and school attended.

Please Note: The maximum age limit can be relaxed only for children with special needs (the child is admitted only according to the facilities for disabled available in school)

Q.3. From where can I get and submit the registration form?

     For Nursery
•      Option 1 - Offline Registration Form is available at the school reception.
•      Option 2 - Registration Form can also be downloaded from the school website - www.gdgoenkadwarka.in
•      Option 3 - Online Registration Form can be filled and submitted on the school website.

For Class KG onwards - Registration Form is available only at the school reception.

Q.4. When does registration for admission begin in the school?

The registration for admission in the school begins:-
     For Class Nursery –
         ✔  The registration for admission begins strictly as per the directives of the Department of Education, Delhi.
         ✔  The registration form available in school is only for applicants who are applying under the General category.
      For KG to IX –
         ✔  The registration for admission begins from 15th January (year of admission sought) till 31st March (year of admission sought).
      Class XI –
         ✔  The registration for admission begins from 15th February (year of admission sought) till 31st July (year of admission sought).
      Class X and XII
         ✔  The application for registration is accepted according to availability of seat(s) and only to interstate and international transfer cases.

Q.5. How can I apply, if I belong to the EWS/ DG category?
To apply under the EWS/DG category, please visit the website of the Department of Education, Delhi – www.edudel.nic.in

Q.6. How is admission granted after registration?

      Class Nursery -
         ✔  The admission criteria is framed according to the guidelines laid by the Department of Education, Delhi.
         ✔ The latest admission procedures are displayed on the school notice board and website only during the period of admissions.
     KG to IX –
         ✔  The admission is subject to availability of seat(s) against any withdrawal, and is based on the child’s academic record.
     Class XI –
         ✔  The admission is subject to availability of seat(s), and the result obtained in Class X.
     Class X and XII –
         ✔  The provisional admission is subject to availability of seat(s), and only to interstate or international transfer cases. The final admission is strictly subject to approval of the CBSE.

Q.7. What is the teacher-child ratio in a class?
• The teacher-child ratio in a class is about 17:1.

Q.8. Is a Day Care facility available in the school?
• Yes, a Day Care facility is available to the students of our school.

Q.9. What curriculum does the school follow?
         ✔  For Nursery till KG – Montessori based curriculum
         ✔  For Class I upward – As per the CBSE directive, the school follows the NCERT textbooks and curriculum.

Q.10. What activities (indoor and outdoor) does the school offer?
Apart from academics, the school offers various indoor and outdoor activities for the complete development of the child.

     Indoor activities – Indian Contemporary dance, Western dance, Music, IT related activities such as web designing, animation and various clubs.
     Outdoor activities – Soccer, Cricket, Basketball, Tennis, Swimming, Taekwondo, Skating/ Roller Cricket, Badminton.

Q.11. Does the school regularly organize trips and excursions for students?
Yes, we organize both domestic and international trips and excursions. We offer adventure sports, trekking and hiking trips, as well as visits to heritage sites in the country. A regular feature is our annual trip to NASA. Along with these, we have participated in various international exchange programs with Taiwan, France and Malta.

Q.12. What are the special projects the school has undertaken?
Our school collaborates with the British Council (International School Award) for international projects in all subjects. We also have regular video conferences with schools around the world through Face to Faith Foundation. Our school participates in various Model United Nations held throughout the year. We also associate with Green-o-Tech to recycle waste newspaper.

Q.13. Does the school have a community outreach program?
We believe in giving back to the community and remaining connected to the grass roots. We associate with Help Age India, Uday Foundation, NDTV (Behtar India), Goonj, the High Commission of Ghana, and many other organizations. Our students also engage in various in-school community service projects throughout the year.

Q.14. Are any after-school coaching classes/activities available in the school and is any fee applicable to them?
Yes, after-school coaching classes/activities are available in the school for Sports and Dance. The fee is applicable according to the number of sessions and days. Information about coaching classes is conveyed through circulars, and registration is done only after receiving the consent from the parents.

Q.15. Does the school admit children with special needs?
Yes, the school admits children with special needs such as dyslexia, dysgraphia and autism.

Yes, well qualified and professional teachers are hired as per the CBSE norms.

Our students have brought many laurels to the school, winning at the interschool, zonal, state, national and international levels in various games and events.

Q.21. What are the safety and security measures taken by the school for the students?
The school follows all safety and security measures as per the guidelines provided by the CBSE which include CCTV cameras, RFID devices and the required manpower.

Q.22. How can the parents keep in touch with the teachers to discuss their child's progress?
         ✔  The school follows various means of communication with parents such as almanac, phone calls, Emails and one-to-one meetings.
         ✔  The parents can meet the teachers by taking prior appointment.
         ✔  The school provides a parent portal on the school website through which they can get information about the work done in class, home assignments and the latest circulars.

Q.23. What safety measures are provided in the school bus?
The school takes utmost precautions with children when they board and de-board the school bus. The school bus is GPS enabled and a proper tracking is done for each school bus. Along with driver and conductor, a trained nanny/lady guard is on duty in the school bus to ensure every child’s safety. Apart from that, the conductor of each school bus is provided with a mobile phone to stay connected with the school in case of exigency.
